Find out what your Land Rover can actually do

Most Land Rovers never leave pavement. This is the day yours does, with instructors beside you the whole way.

Land Rover Langley sits in the Fraser Valley, within an hour of some of the best back-country trails in the province. For three years we've taken owners out onto them, and in 2027 we're doing it again. The Off-Road Experience is a guided, full-day trail day run with Trion Safety Canada, built for drivers who have never taken their vehicle off-road and want to learn properly.

You drive your own Land Rover. Two instructors lead a convoy of no more than fifteen vehicles, so you're never waiting around and never out of radio range. By the end of the day you'll understand Terrain Response, know where to put your wheels, and have driven terrain you wouldn't have attempted that morning.

Two levels, one progression

Everyone starts on the beginner session. The advanced day is open to drivers who've already run a trail with us.

Now open — Spring/Summer 2027

Beginner session

A full day of guided trail driving for owners who've never left pavement. Instructors cover vehicle systems, wheel placement and convoy procedure before you hit the first obstacle, then stay with you through the whole route.

Advanced session

More complex terrain, where the right line isn't obvious and precision matters more than power. Instructors work one-on-one on line choice, mechanical sympathy and, time permitting, pre-recovery skills.

How the day runs

Roughly an hour's drive from the dealership to the trailhead. Everything after that happens as a group.

  • Morning — Trailhead briefing

Safety brief, convoy procedure, radio check and resource road protocols. Tire pressures set, vehicles walked around, questions answered before anyone moves.

  • Morning — Vehicle systems session

Land Rover instructors walk you through Terrain Response and Terrain Response 2, DSC, ATPC, Hill Descent Control, the twin-speed transfer case, air suspension and wading. Hands on your own vehicle, not a slideshow.

  • Late morning — First trail section

Onto the 10 Mile Bay trail. Wheel placement, mechanical sympathy, and the no-touch ethos: getting through without marking the vehicle or the trail.

  • Midday — Lunch on the trail

Pre-packed lunch kits at a viewpoint stop. Time to compare notes with the other drivers and ask the instructors the things you didn't want to ask on the radio.

  • Afternoon — Second trail section

Harder lines, more elevation, and the chance to apply what changed since the morning. Instructors spot and coach through the tighter obstacles.

  • Evening — Dinner at Sand Piper Resort

A short drive off the trail for a sit-down dinner before everyone heads home.

What's included

One ticket covers the whole day for you and one guest.

Guided trail day

A full day on the trail led by two seasoned instructors, capped at roughly fifteen vehicles. Small enough that everyone gets time and attention, large enough to feel like a proper convoy.

Product education

In-depth instruction on the systems that make these vehicles capable: Terrain Response and Terrain Response 2, DSC, ATPC, HDC, the twin-speed transfer case, air suspension and wading depth. Most owners leave using settings they'd never touched before.

Driving technique

Hands-on coaching in safe trail driving: accurate wheel placement, mechanical sympathy, the no-touch ethos, and Tread Lightly ethics for responsible use of public back-country.

Safety cover

Our team includes first aid certified staff, recovery certified experts and navigational specialists. Emergency communication plans are in place, and every participant is briefed on convoy procedure, radio use and resource road safety before the first vehicle moves.

Lunch and dinner

Pre-packed lunch kits on the trail at a scenic stop, then dinner at Sand Piper Resort at the end of the day.
